Tummy still feels tender / bruised from c section

Does anyone else’s tummy hurt when pressed down on? Never had this pain with the first but I’m still so tender and feel bruised!

Yes mine does and I had the c section 4 months ago

Yes! Same with I didn’t have this first time. My tummy muscles still feel super weak too

It can take 6 months (sometimes up to a year!) to fully heal from a section. It is major surgery, and even though your outside is healed, your insides take longer. If you have any concerns, speak to a midwife or your GP 🩷

@Rachel I’m glad I’m not the only one was wondering if it’s normal thank you

@Kell🌸 aww you're welcome, I would say it's normal yeah, it was my first baby and first c section and I'd say was normal for it to hurt still

Yes! Mine feels numb on the surface but when I press down it feels as if I’ve been punched or something and it’s bruised on the inside! Been getting some shooting pains too, but i read apparently it can be your nerve endings reconnecting

Yes not all the time but I have noticed it was my second C-section too

No pain for me but there’s still a patch of my tummy that’s still completely numb, just above the incision. I had my c section 4 months ago.
