Montessori bedrooms

So we still cosleep lol meaning our sons floor bed is at the foot of our real bed in the same room, he started in his own bed but comes and joins me in the morning when dad leaves for work. (We do also have his play kitchen right next to his bed too) We’ve got a one bedroom situation, but our entire house is set up with Montessori principals in mind! His clothes are organized at accessible height and in accessible bins, we keep snacks he’s allowed to have organized at his height both in the fridge and in the dry pantry, and in general every night I’ve done a nightly reset of toys and the areas he frequents, which has led to him naturally independently picking up a ton of his toys at night time before he gets tired.

the first picture was his “room” as a baby (it’s a playpen) and then the second picture is his bed starting at 1.5 years old and is still the same now. i don’t have a picture of his full room but it has a dresser and toy box. essentially the same setup as the playpen but with real furniture
