I waited 5 weeks until I drove, I felt absolutely fine after 2 but because of your incision you might be unable to emergency stop if required, also as Kay said, your probably not insured to drive so soon after c section, my insurance policy covered me from 4 weeks post op x
Speak to your insurance and find out what they cover. Mine said as long as I can do an emergency stop with no problems I’m ok to drive x
I wouldn’t personally risk it only being 2 weeks after c-section, all it takes is an accident to happen or to have to break hard and you could do more damage to yourself. I waited until 5 weeks then I drove
I drove 3 weeks after x
I had my 2nd c section 2 weeks ago and I’ve been driving, my scar has healed brilliantly and not painful what so ever. I think it does depend on how you’ve recovered and obviously your car insurer xx
I spoke to my GP during my 6 week check and she said the general guidance is that you can start driving when you feel good enough to make an emergency stop. I’d say 2 weeks in is a little bit too early. I think i started at 7 weeks PP and only to get some petrol to see how I’d get on. At 8 weeks I started driving with my little one but everyone is different, it all depends on how you feel.
I waited 4 weeks. My health visitor said 4 weeks was fine if I felt up to it.
About 4 weeks. My husband was back at work and my son had eye appointments at the specialist hospital. My car insurer said there was no minimum time or need to be "cleared" by a Dr
I drove at 2 weeks x
I drove at 2 weeks. I was told that if I can perform an emergency stop from 60 that I can drive so I tested it out on a quiet road with no one around and it was fine but I think everyone is different as if you aren’t “okay” to drive you will have invalid insurance x
Thank you all for your responses. 🥰I have the health visitor tomorrow I will ask her x
I understand from my midwife, that I'll have to get the ok to drive again from GP 6 weeks after c-section. You may not be insured if an idiot hits you 🙈. I would double check x
