i got mine 2 days before. I think if you go into labour you are offered the choice of both, unless there’s a medical reason for your section. If you went into labour you would be classed as an emergency c section instead of elective

I got mine 2 weeks before during the pre-op as they pushed it to 40 weeks. I went into labour the day after with a breech baby and it was just done as an emergency procedure. I suppose it depends on your reason for the section x

With my 1st (2021) never got my date and went into labour with breach baby so ended up as emergency at 38+2 With my 2nd in October I got a date 2 weeks before however my date changed 3 times my final date was given to me the day before at 2 pm via a phone call to be in the next morning at 7 am x
