I'm the same - only started feel more clearly regular movements by week 24/5 or so. perhaps the experience is just very individualised 😊
Its very subtle at the beginning. When I would feel him most is when I would lay down to sleep and I was wondering if it was gas.
@Paige on the bit of paper i got from the hospital it says that it was anterior high
@Liana yeah i could sometimes feel like a “popping” / “bubbling” sensation when i’d lay down and then the other day i felt him properly move but only felt it twice then nothing since then
@katie My obgyn only told me to count movements at 32 weeks
At my 20 week scan baby was going wild on the screen. I couldn’t feel a thing! They are still tiny and any change in position can mean you won’t feel anything. I wouldn’t worry, it will soon come! Laying down at night after eating something sweet would usually get my girl moving but even then not until around 24-25 weeks
@Paige thank you
Some times it can be harder to feel baby until 26-28 weeks plus placenta placement can also effect feeling movement id talk to your ob at your next appointment or call their office if you’re really worried about it and see what they recommend
If its your first then you'll feel movements later. Its really common to feel intermittent movement until like 28-30 weeks with your first. And like others said, if your placenta is at the front then you'll feel movement even less.
@Molly (She/her) yea that’s how I was this is my first and I didn’t feel him at all until I was almost 30-31 weeks and I have a posterior placenta so it wasn’t in the way of movement I just never knew what to look for or feel for so it was harder to notice his movements until later on
@katie I had an anterior high placenta too but I could feel my little one a lottt and even sometimes see her little feet poking, it just depends on the baby my love, have you tried the hack where you circle around your belly button that seems to get them kicking
Did they say where your placenta is? I think if it’s at the front of your belly you don’t feel baby as much
