Yes I have read it but I got in on reddit as well https://www.reddit.com/r/ukvisa/comments/14cn5h6/skilled_work_visa_free_childcare_allowance/?rdt=60147
And i was also talking to someone who used it few years back just wanted to know is there anyone else who used it
Co asking please. Because I’m not entitled to public fund. So I want to know as well if someone on sponsorship can get free childcare.
It depends if your Visa have a restriction NRPF (no recourse to public funding), most of them do. But you can access to the universal 15hrs when they are 3-4year old no matter what visa
If your visa says “no recourse to public funds” then you are only eligible if you meet some other criteria. Check here https://www.nrpfnetwork.org.uk/information-and-resources/rights-and-entitlements/services-for-children-and-families/early-education-and-childcare/2-year-olds
Unfortunately, I don’t think you can access the funded hours while on a visa. However, if your partner is British or has Indefinite Leave to Remain, they may be able to apply on behalf of your child. You can check your eligibility here: https://www.gov.uk/free-childcare-if-working/check-youre-eligible
