Yep😭 I too was wondering if this is normal...I can't have sex in certain positions because it's too sore!
2nd degree internal tear. Pushed through the first 5-10 times having sex (super painful, even with lots of lube), the next 15-20 times were easier and gradually got better each time and now I'm 11m soon to be a year postpartum and it's as if nothing happened (although my partner does complain I'm tighter now which I'm guessing is scar tissue? 🤷🏼♀️)
Go see a pelvic floor therapist!
@Willa i already did physio for almost 2months 😪 nothing has helped me
@Carys omg literally same
Not related to birth trauma, but I had to work with a pelvic floor PT for about a year before seeing any real improvement but after about 18 months of PT my symptoms were essentially gone and I've had no issues since. If it's only been 2 months of PT I would definitely suggest sticking with it! I know it's hard when you don't see improvement right away but your body might just need some extra time to heal ❤️
I'm only 7 weeks pp but had a 3c tear. I'm starting PT next month. I figured this would be a long recovery road but ugh, sucks it seems like it will take forever.
@Jennifer don't be discouraged because i'm definitely not the norm.. based on what i've read and what i've heard from other moms you usually heal pretty fast and don't have lingering pain for more than a few months. i had an internal and external tear and the whole delivery was very painful lol but i had a doctor shove both hands up my vagina to pull the baby out so i think my body is over it 😂
You can message me I didn’t have a 3rd degree tear but did tear and had an assisted birth too
