Changing positions at night

Does anyone else find it really uncomfortable on their bump moving from one side to the other in the night? Not sure if this is normal due to relaxing of tummy muscles or related to pelvic pain.

Yes I do and if I lie in a position too long then when I move it feel like my belly is a heavy rock I am lugging about and the muscles on the side are stiff. As far as I know this is completely normal!

I wish I could say I get this but I can’t sleep in 1 position for longer than 20 minutes due to each leg going dead and having to switch sides 😭🫠

I feel like I have to hold my bump firmly just to roll over, at the moment it's even worse due to ripping stomach muscles from a bad chest infection/cough My only comfortable position is on my back which I know is not great and then I'm also plagued with heartburn 😩 roll on when I can actually lay on my tummy again

Absolutely and now I have a glorious click of the hip when I change sides too 😂

@Lucy yes I also hold my bump as it feels like I need the support and just have no tummy muscles! Ahh the joys of pregnancy 🙈

I went to a physio class and brought this point up! One thing she suggested is turning so you're on your hands and knees , then doing the other half turn. Logically it doesn't seem right and wakes you up a bit more, but I found it less painful.

@Becks this is helpful, I will try! Thank you

@Rosie hope it helped! Xx
