Yup we are all sorted!! Got trousers; skirts, dresses, white tops, branded cardigan. We got a size that fits now ish (slightly big) and the next size up just in case. Worst case she will grow into it
I’m definitely not buying before August as I will see what size my son willl be then. I have a tailoring business and we see most of school uniform in August. I’m also lucky that I can get anything altered!
I think Asda is great and good value. I think Lidl even do polo shirts dead cheap sometimes which I sometimes grab for spares when I can't get stains out 🤣 I usually get a couple of school branded cardigans for my daughter for picture day or trips but otherwise Asda lol. So I've done the same with jumpers for my son
I usually do all the uniform in August, the supermarkets always have loads- if the size isn’t on the shelf it’s usually out back! I’d always go bigger with the jumper to make it easier for them to get on and off independently especially at the start of the year as they might be too shy to ask! I have a couple of handed down jumpers so going to see what size is best then get him a new one too!
We will waiting until August because my son already goes to the school for pre school and has to wear some of the uniform already. But it runs small my son it age 5-6 already in the jumpers and getting small. So I dont want to buy now.
Thanks all! I want to wait until August too but I spoke to the school shop today & they’ve confirmed they need the order by the first week of August or it won’t arrive in time. I still feel like that’s too early 😩
Our school sell second hand pieces (able to return) money goes back to the school so win win!
We order non branded stuff from M&S when they have the sales on uniform And branded stuff from the uniform shop is normally early August! I don’t think that’s too late! When do they expect you to buy hahaha I don’t size up really except trousers for my son - he’s skinny and long legged we buy M&S adjustable waist skinny fit and always have haha!
