Baby movements - overweight Mama!

I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and have yet to feel baby move. I’m only 5ft 2 and am nearly 14 stone so am well aware I’m overweight. Do we think me not feeling baby is just because of my weight or should I be worried? Previously lost a baby at 22 weeks so am very anxious!

I’m currently 19 weeks and don’t think i have felt any movement! they say it can differ from like 18-24 weeks! Maybe consult a midwife if you’re worried but I’ve been told it’s normal! Have you felt any like popping bubbles or flutters etc? x

I think I’ve maybe felt popping/bubbles but really don’t know 😂

To be honest i don’t know the difference between popping/flutters and gas😂 it’s so difficult to tell!! i’d say if you’re worried, there’s no harm in checking with midwife just for peace of mind especially with your previous experience, i can imagine the anxiety you must be feeling x

I’m 20 weeks on Saturday and haven’t felt baby yet, I’m a plus size girl with a first pregnancy. I’ve also been told that I have the placenta at the front so this will also cushion movements and be harder for me to feel/ take longer. I wouldn’t worry <3

I’m 20 weeks on Friday. I’m not overweight and and have a posterior placenta but still can’t feel baby 😭 I’m trying to not stress too much until my scan on Friday but it’s tough when so many people talking about feeling their babies

Weight shouldnt affect it. Don’t worry too much you can not feel up to 24 weeks. I would call the midwife if you are really worried as you have had a previous loss they might check heartbeat x

I’m 20 weeks and only been feeling them for 4 days, suddenly got stronger yesterday. My first I didn’t feel until closer to 24 weeks, also if your placenta is anterior you may not feel them for a while. I understand why you would worry but try to relax it’s completely normal, if you call your midwife or triage they may do a little check for you x

I didn’t actually feel movements with my first till I was around 24 weeks and then a pattern around a month after I had completely noticed and monitored, with my second I’m am now feeling little kicks at 20 weeks but they say with your second you can feel them sooner, it’s also based on where your placenta is laying to not just your weight, I’ve had anterior placentas both pregnancies and it’s harder to feel kicks with this type of placenta x
