I had to take extra strength “gas x” and that still only slightly relieved it. Yes. Any abdominal surgery; apparently it’s normal. I had it for at least a month

Yes personally I found this the worst part 😅

@Maddie what is that device? What does it do? and how does it do it?

@Siobhan agree that it was the worst part xx

Yeah I just feel like pressure / bloated permanently???

Yes! I was in so much pain my pain was confused for a PE and had to undergo all the testing. It went by week 3. Only thing that helped me was peppermint tea x

Yes, the trapped wind was the worst sort of pain, peppermint oil helped tho

Yes was so painful! Glad that part is over now 😵‍💫

@Alexis that’s a deep breather… I’m not sure how that could help with gas personally 🫤 “spirometer” more specifically.

@Alexis I’m not sure if the exact name of it. It was given to me in the hospital by the postpartum nurse who just discharged me. It’s supposed to help with calming you down if you’re having an anxiety attack or having trouble breathing, it has helped me tremendously in the first two months after my emergency C-section. I still sometimes use it if I still feel pain from my incision I’m four months postpartum.

@Maddie oh definitely would help with that, it measures lung capacity and air flow, and I’m sure focusing on that would calm you down. That makes total sense. I was assuming OP meant trapped wind as in gas/flatulence. I could be wrong.

Yes. And delayed constipation 😮‍💨 ouch!!

I’m the opposite where I have the loosest bowels!!!

With my first I was like this definitely didn’t need to laxative was more like water 😅😅😅 however I lost all the swelling quite quickly not sure if that’s why. The wind however so painful
