Still don’t know what to do! Section or VBAC

Baby due date 8th May. Booked in for section 2nd May. I don’t know whether to push this back incase I go into natural labour first? I had a section with my first due to being breech but should be good candidate for VBAC this time. I feel a bit pressured by my mum and partner to have a section as will be easier for them to arrange childcare for my toddler and have work off etc etc but a part of me wants to try for a VBAC. 😵‍💫 But then another part wants to have a date to have the baby. Another part of me doesn’t want to try VBAC for it to end in emergency section. 😵‍💫 My head is just scrambled 🤯I don’t know what to do. I have midwife appointment tomorrow. Anyone else in a similar situation??

I had a section due to my son been breech as well and I am definitely wanting another for my second just because I don’t wanna labour and end up in a section again xx

10000% all those thoughts 😆 I had a section with my first due to breech and FGR. I’m a good candidate for a VBAC. A successful VBAC is safest for mom and baby, but a planned C-section is safer than an emergency C-section! I have my section scheduled for 5/11. I’m hoping I go into spontaneous labor before that so I can at least experience it. However due to some personal medical reasons, I’ve discussed with my husband and OB and we will go through with the planned c section if not. I get it’s a tough decision!

I’ve had two c sections and will schedule my third for between 40 and 41 weeks in case I go into labour before 🤞

If you want to try for a VBAC then do. I had an emergency c section and it was honestly very calm (I wasn't because I never wanted to have a c section before then, so I was living my worst nightmare). But litrally looking back not a bad experience.

I was in exact situation as you and my waters broke the day before my planned section but no contractions started after they went and they was talking about inducing me and last time that happened it ended in ECS so I just brought my planned section a day earlier and it went so well and she’s now 4 weeks old, I’m glad I went with that decision but also feel sad that was my 3rd and final child and I never got to experience a natural labour. Good luck x
