You can check if your nursery or surrounding areas do holiday clubs. It may be worth trying to find out where parents or his new school send their children during holidays and putting your child in the same place. If you access Universal credit then you’ll be able to claim child care costs during term time if they go to an approved holiday club setting. I’ve mentioned holiday club a lot because at some point he’s going to get too old to stay in the nursery/bored.

Nurseries don’t tend to accept children once of school age. If you need wrap around childcare, you’ll need to look for holiday clubs, take annual leave, and/or ask for family support. You could also look for school hour jobs - start at 9am, and finish 2/230pm, so you’ll be able to drop off and pick up.

Most nurseries do not provide childcare once children are of school age. So a combination of holiday clubs, family help and using your own annual leave to try and cover it, it is a nightmare!
