Group b strep
Just been told I have group b strep, I know this means having antibiotics in labour just wondering how this will affect my birth, was hoping to use birthing centre, anyone know if this is still possible or will I need to be on ward? X

Ive had this and ive taken antibiotics they said to me if im having a natural birth that id need to take more antibiotics so the baby dont get it
I asked this and yes you can still birth at the birthing centre :) You’ll just need antibiotics when your waters break and depending how much antibiotic they can get in you (obviously depends how long your labouring for) then baby may need to stay in for up to 24 hours to get antibiotics too ❤️ xx
