Feeding baby

When do I stop waking my baby to feed him? He wakes up every 3 hours to be fed but he doesn’t wake up for his 1am feed durning the night, he’s only a month old so do I still wake him or leave him? Thank you xxx

Ask your pediatrician to be sure, but at 1 month it is usually okay to let the baby sleep if healthy and gaining weight. My baby is now 4 months and she will sleep about a 4-5 hour stretch before waking up to feed again. If he wakes up 1-2 times a night then it’s probably okay to let him sleep a longer stretch.

If he is back at birth weight you don't need to wake him

As long as he’s back at his birth weight or above, don’t wake him xx

I would wake during the day to make sure he's stocking up on calories but like others mentioned if he's at birth weight you're good to let him sleep

As long as he's getting the amount he should eat in a 24 hour period, it's fine
