Dog mum guilt

Does anyone else really struggle with the dog mum guilt? We’ve got a 2.5 year old toddler and I’m pregnant with my second. We have two spaniels ( 9 and 6) and I feel so bad for them there left at home a lot more than we ever used too I know this will get worse when we have the second one. There walked everyday and I work from home 3 days a week. There doted on and loved so much 🥹🥹❤️. Just feel awful we get less time with them! Someone please tell me I’m not alone in this x

Everyday! I have 2 dogs also and I really struggle to give them the attention that they used to get it’s doesn’t seem to bother them as they have each other but makes me feel guilty daily xx

Definitely not alone in feeling like this. We’ve got 3 dogs and a 4.5 month old baby. I find it so hard to split my time between them all (although they’re happy enough to play in the garden with balls) the guilt is still there! X

You are not alone 🥺 I have two huskies and they need so much exercise but my 8months old doesn’t like to stay in the baby carrier for too long, so I struggle to give them longer walks. I really hope that everything works out for you and your family, it’s hard, but eventually everyone will find their place 💕 we just love them in the way we can in the different stages.

Definitely not alone. Although on all comments responding people have at least 2 dogs it seems, my 4 year old Italian greyhound Velcro dog is completely on her own and so used to having all our attention and I now have a 7 week old newborn FTM. It breaks my heart and I’m trying to give her all the love but naturally I have to hold the baby all the time too!

@Shannen omg this made me want to cry, I have a 3 year old Italian greyhound too and he breaks my heart at the moment! It gets easier my little girls now 7 months but it’s still very very hard to split time between them both!

I have two dogs, aged 14 and 15 who had been my whole world for all these years until my son was born 9 months ago. While they still get walked for at least 1-2 hours a day (while LO naps in the pushchair), I feel so bad that I don't have the time for cuddles, playing and training indoors that they used to get. It breaks my heart 😭.

Yes it’s the worst feeling 😢 ,, is there somewhere off leash you can take your pups and have your toddler with you ? Just an idea 💡 as soon as I found some great new spots for walks outside of our apartment it’s like a whole new world opened up. I posted on my local community on Facebook. Good luck 🫶🏼 can tell your an awesome and caring dog mum just by your post 🐾❤️‍🔥
