Yes it will get better :) Heaviness and pressure could be sign of a prolaps. Midwifes can help refer you to doctors/physio so make sure you mention it on your next appt
Definitely something you should mention at your next appointment but also quite normal at this point (I had a c-section with my first and had similar). Your pelvic floor has taken a proper beating over the last 9 months (it's not just labour that does the damage!) so it will take time and work to get it back to its pre-pregnancy state. I also second asking for a physio appointment! X
8 hours of pushing 😳 you’re an absolute warrior lovely. Look after yourself x
I had this after forceps and episiotomy delivery and the best thing I did was to pay for private pelvic health physio. I got a ‘mummy mot’ and then regular sessions after. Defos ask midwife for nhs referral too. Be gentle with yourself recovery was longer than the standard 6-8 they GP told me x
I also had a forceps birth with an episiotomy with a fourth degree tear too. I’m feeling the exact same way as you just now. I have to encourage my wee sometimes with use of a peri bottle and have been referred to physio but looking into private pelvic floor physio too! 8 hours of pushing you are so so strong! I’m only 11 days PP and it’s getting slightly easier now🤍
I also had forceps and episiotomy for my first birth. I found recovery to take longer than I expected and totally get the feeling you are describing. Give yourself time lovely - it will get better. Any concerns though speak to midwife/GP xx
