Give him some incentives on what he likes

I used visuals, potty books, we had a treasure box of prizes, stickers he could earn… it was a big production. Once we were made the decision to potty train, that was it- no more pull-ups… underwear only.

Following! My 4 year old boy refuses to use the potty as well

@Celeste try getting a nice potty step stool and also a form seat for the toilet you guys use, so that might help him feel like a big boy

That helped my 4 year old son he got potty trained at 2.5years

Lots of positive praise, fancy new toilet seat like above, new underwear he’ll get to wear when he is trained, rewards, like skittle for wee and little toy for poops (go to dollar tree and get some prizes) when he does it one w just praise praise praise, he’ll love it. We used to do a silly dance around as we were so proud! We also stuck stickers on a chart and when completed it she got a special prize (toy/outing/date with mum etc) you’ve got this mumma!

Yes even little toy cars for boys I bought some in a dollar tree for 5 dollars and would rotate them for him when he tells me to potty or his dad we would praise him and treats any kind he loves stickers is a charm too

, I feel you mama!!! former teacher here and currently working in early childhood while being a mama to three kids and I'm going to give you some really great advice💕 do not buy any more diapers or pull-ups. Keep a few diapers for at night, but during the day, let him be free. I will be honest it's going to be messy the first two weeks but when you have that little potty sitting in the living room, he will get the hang of it. Make him sit on the potty every two hours. We did this for a month and a half with my three year old and now he is potty trained the reward if he went pee or poop in the potty would be some of his favorite snacks. now I know you shouldn't Bribe kids with food, but we tried a sticker chart, toys nothing worked, but when we awarded him with a few chips or a cake pop it worked like a charm💕 buy underwear and let him come and pick them out. That way he can pick out his favorite character whether it be paw patrol or spiderman.each time he goes potty get overly excit

Clap, praise jump up and down and smile the biggest smile you ever had hug him and tell him how proud you are of him and how proud he should be of himself talk about how Mommy goes pee pee, and poo. Poo in the potty to sometimes when you go in the bathroom and go clap, prays, jump up and down and smile the biggest smile you ever had hug him and tell him how proud you are of him and how proud he should be of himself talk about how Mommy goes pee pee, and poo. Poo in the potty to sometimes when you go in the bathroom bring him with you, so he knows there's nothing to be afraid of

Sorry, I am multitasking and I know the talk to text didn't come out right but I hope you feel the vibe of what I'm saying❤️

Thank you everyone so much!!! 🙏🏽💕
