Bedtime sounds too early. If she is not napping well during the day you would push bedtime early to avoid overtiredness. How old is she? How many naps does she have? What are her wake windows? A schedule might help give you better advice x
We often start going up by 6ish because she will get too upset waiting any longer. Usually 4 naps a day at least 30 mins up to 1.5hrs contact napping if she needs it. Wake windows approx 2 hrs. Variable wake up time, between 5.45 and 7.45 maybe?
When does the last nap end?
How old is little one?
@Farihah 5 months
@Lauren depends how the earlier naps fall but quite often 4.15-4.45ish I think? Today she didn't actually fit a fourth nap in so seems like overtiredness making it worse tonight
As 5 months my LO was having 3 naps as far as I can remember. You may want to drop a nap and implement a little bit of a schedule just to get her to sleep better. Then it’ll make it somewhat easier for you to get her down to sleep too. My girls schedule at that age was: Wake: 7am Nap 1: 9am-10am Wake: 10-12.30pm Nap 2: 12.30pm-2.00pm Wake: 2.00-4.30pm Nap 3: 4.30pm-5pm (catnap - shortest nap of the day) Bed: 7.30pm/8pm We always aimed for the above. You can contact nap if needed (nothing wrong with that)! If she is not used to staying awake for a long time then try to stretch the wake windows by 15 minute increments every couple of days until you reach your desired time.
What time are you putting her in her crib for the night sleep?
I experienced this and found it was because my 5mo LG no longer needed 4hrs of day nap. Now it's more like 2.5-3hrs total. So I reduced every nap to 1hr max, and she's been only having 3naps for a while now.
Wait, so you put baby down for the night at 5:30pm? That sounds very early to me 🤔 how many naps is baby having and how long are they? How long are wake windows? What time does baby wake up in the mornings?
