Well I had my son in August 2024 and I’m 30 weeks pregnant currently lol. His first birthday is August 5th and I’m due July 31st. I obviously haven’t experienced having 2 close in age yet but my pros were getting it over and done with (I only want 2 personally). They will be hopefully best friends/close. I also don’t get the break between bottles/nappies/lack of sleep etc and then get a shock when I have to go back to it because I’m just continuing what I’m already doing with my son. The obvious cons I would imagine is it’s just hard especially I’ve heard the first year to get the routine.
It wrecked havoc on my body. I’m trying to correct diastasis recti on my own due to having kids 9m27d part. (My younger one came 3 weeks 3 days early) but it was the fastest birth I ever had I didn’t even tear. Only 4 days of postnatal bleeding then done. If you’re okay with going on a year and a half of little to no sleep then you do it. In the end, it’s your body, your choice. Personally. Spring is the best time to get pregnant so you’re not feeling like a swollen beluga whale (been there done that) in July. Also edit to add my oldest is 14 m and my youngest is 4m February 19th and December 17th.)
@Chrystina thank you for the input! Luckily our boy sleeps amazing so we’ve had pretty decent sleep since he was 2m old, minus the occasional early wake up. Not to say the next will be the same, but still😂 I’d love to get pregnant late summer and have a spring baby, but honestly I just want another so bad!!!!
@Julianne then go for it. Talk to your hubby and tell him how you feel. Do it.
Feel like I should add that minus the preeclampsia, I had a very easy recovery! I had one stitch and physically didn’t go through much as far as recovery goes!
