Is infant hair loss a thing?

My baby's hair never fell out (besides the excess on his forehead lol) but in the last week I've been noticing his hair on his bed where he lays and his feeding chair. Is baby hair fall a thing? I'm worried about it being a vitamin deficiency. He's 7 months (4 months corrected age as he was born 12 weeks early).

Yes! A lot of babies lose all of their hair and some just lose a little. If you are worried give your pediatrician a call for peace of mind.

Yup my first sine was born with jest black curls they fell out the first wash but they came back in by 3 months old only brown this time but still just as curly and now his hair turns from red brown in the summer to nearly black in winter kids are strange

Yes this happened to both my twins at the age age probably around four months! It’s a thing xx

Yes my boy was born with a full head of hair and then went basically bald. At 18 months he still has very little fine hair. I used to find it all over his mattress x

@Laura was it just some hair fall or did they go bald?

@Bela I think I will call the paed just to be safe yes.

Haha gosh thanks so much moms for the helpful feedback :)

It’s normal, it’ll grow back. It usually sheds when they lay down and on their sleep sides. No need to worry.

Totally a thing!
