Breastfeeding and biting

Has anyone bf until 3 years? That’s my aim however my little boy has 16 teeth now at 16 months and is really biting down atm. It’s really making me anxious each feed and getting me emotional all of the time. My ‘partner’ doesn’t understand how difficult it is either which is making me feel worse. But I really hope to get further with it, I don’t want to give up yet neither of us are ready. Does anyone have some tips or support on how I can stop this or get through it cause it can be agony sometimes.

Every time my little one bit me, I sternly said ow and took her off. She eventually learned that it hurt and not to do it.

My little girl is 19 month and she's bit me twice. Both times I said ow quite loudly and said no and took her off. She hasn't bitten since. She does sometimes bite down a little bit like she's getting a good grip but she's doesn't bite down enough to hurt. I do end up with teeth imprints around my nipple though 🤣

I’ve breastfed my daughter until she was about 2 and a half, the biting only happens if she’s falling asleep. Sometimes you just cant force it 🤷‍♀️ the biting made me want her to stop 🤣 that sh*t hurt more than me trying to push her out - I would say, you can always continue with a bottle instead. Just pump and then give them in a cup, or use it in their cereal. If they don’t realised the differences between latching on to drink and biting, then it’s not exactly worth it I think. It is your decision.
