@Pippa thank you so much for your comment. She is always chewing her hands and the amount drool is crazy 😅 I didn’t even think about teething, I haven’t seen any signs in her gums or anything. I’ll try giving her some teethers!
Sorry to hear that you’re going through this - will she nap for longer if she’s in a carrier / pram / car? I know this isn’t always practical but might help to get her some longer naps in as she may be feeling a bit overtired - such a hard period of development but it will get better! X
Try teethers and gels, baby’s at this age often teeth with no obvious gum signs. But the chewing and drooling and being fussy are all signs. My LO is being grumpy atm and I think the same x
@Amy I’ll try this, thank you so much! Xx
@Emily Timbrell she naps for the longest if she’s on her stomach, but she won’t settle like that and if she falls asleep on us or elsewhere and we put her there, she often wakes up. I’ll try her with her carrier or her car seat and see if that helps, thank you! X
@Sarah I did buy some bonjela the other day but it says it’s on it for 5months + so I haven’t given her any yet. I’ll keep checking her gums and try her with teethers. Thank you x
Me too😂 so I bought a different one actually in the end but I find it so hard to apply x
Hello, sorry to hear about the stressful time you're going through. Her excess crying could potentially be due to teething? Is she chewing her hands at all, and or drooling? If so, a teether might help to give her some relief and distract from needing to cry. Failing that Calpol works wonders for teething also. I've found it helpful to keep a log of feed and nap times so I can know when little one might get fussy and need the next of either throughout each day too. Time sure passes quickly in-between sometimes! We all have good days and bad days. Sounds like you're doing everything right, it's just quite a busy and tricky age! Also I recommend Loop ear-plugs for overstimulation from cries. https://www.loopearplugs.com/collections/all
