I'll naturally wake up In a night to check on him even if he's sound asleep and sometimes it's like a frightened jerk up because he's not woken up through the night which I'm obviously grateful for but In that split second of my brain kicking in, I'm terrified.
Hello 🥰I think your May 2025 Mama (?) but we were all you this time last year! I hope you’re doing ok 🩷 I think Tuesday’s advice is spot on, night time naturally causes a lot of anxiety and paired with no sleep, it heightens everything! But if you feel like your worrying is constant, seek support from a professional. I think with owlet, it depends if you think it would relieve anxiety or contribute to it? And as you’ve mentioned it is expensive! What is your baby’s sleep set up? How often is your LO waking at night? Are you managing to get any sleep? Only asking you those things as it might relieve some of your anxiety if we can reassure you? X
@Olivia yes may 2025 just realised i posted on the wrong group 🤦🏻♀️ he’s in a next to me crib and wakes about every 3 hours, im getting a bit of sleep but it feels like a very light sleep x
Hi lovely, I could have written this exact post myself this time last year. The blocked nose, the night time fear… Everything! It was all so overwhelming and the sleep deprivation didn’t help. We ended up buying an owlet sock off vinted for half the price. I know it’s controversial and not everybody likes it but we’ve been using it for 12 months and it just gave me peace of mind. It meant that I felt a little less anxious about going to sleep. I’ve also heard good things about the snooza hero (I think it’s called). The worrying eases with time, you’re still all getting to know each other and his little quirks and you’re probably feeling a bit foggy at the moment, but I promise you, it gets easier. They’re more robust than we think. 💞
I was like this and I'm still a worrier now a year on infact just a couple of weeks ago I made a post on this group about this exact thing. The general consensus was its completely normal to worry about things but if you are feeling its getting too much then speak to your healthvisitor/doctor ect. I never bothered with the owlet sock because I personally heard some bad reviews about it going off all the time for no reason ect and I know it would just make me even worse if that happened and it was expensive obviously. I think a certain amount of worry is healthy its in our dna to have those protective feelings and its hard when they can't really tell you if anythings wrong...if it really is too much speak to someone ❤️
