It's been hard here too! I think it's the teething and the Tylenol only goes so far.
Same I have to breast feed my 22 month old for her to fall asleep
Same with my 12 month old! But he's also teething. Sometimes, it'll be 5-6 hours since his last nap. He's agitated and wants to sleep, but he fights me. I literally have to cuddle him with me in bed while he's crying like hell. Couple minutes and he's knocked out 😒😒 like, "Are you for real ?" My mom said it's a phase during teething. His mind wants him to play, but he's tired out ✋🏼 What seems to help now is I'll cuddle him while walking around in his room for a couple of minutes, not distractions at all. I've removed all toys, etc, from his bedroom. That seems to calm him down, rocking him and then putting him to bed. I've also moved him out of his crib he hated it. He sleeps in a floor style, full sized bed and sleeps better there, too. Hopefully, he can sleep better soon. Hang in there. 🙏🙏💙
@Jayliz I have to do the same thing, I feel so bad but it gets the job done. I know exactly what you mean nothing crazy just cuddle and hold him still for a bit. It’s either that or I spend at least an hour just walking back and forth rocking him.
@Erin I think it’s definitely the teething 😭
@Jessica this is when I miss breast feeding, I stopped a little bit before 10 months.
@Hifza I agree with mom because he definitely thinks it’s play time when I’m putting him to sleep, I just don’t get it because he’s exhausted. When I say exhausted I mean he’s moving like he’s drunk 😂 but he’s still fighting the sleep. I will try to remove the distractions tomorrow when it’s time for a nap. I was just looking at floor beds because he’s trying to climb out of his crib and for some reason when he’s sleepy he loves going to the edge of my bed so that’s another thing.
Mine does too. I literally cuddle him to me in bed and have to hold him down until he stops fighting (it sounds bad. I promise it's just 2 mins if holding him still) and he then knocks out for his nap. Like buddy.. You're exhausted why are you fighting this?
