@Emma I’ve tried swaddle and no swaddle and there’s no difference 😂. Good idea with the Moses, may try that tonight! I also ordered a hot water bottle at 3am so 🤞. I’m all for cuddles but staying awake all night is not the one 🤦🏻♀️
I feel your pain. She only sleeps for long stretches in the bed with me 💔
@Sara its a total guessing game isnt it? My son only likes to go to sleep in the dark and in a sleep sack. Goes down like a dream then. Anything else is no go. In the heat it is now a nightmare 🫠
We have the snuz and my little boy didn't like the soft mattress so we bought a new one and he's fine in there now.
we came home the same day baby was born, and tried him in next2me but we all only got two hours sleep as he would not settle. we noticed that he would sleep better in the moses basket during the day so assumed that *currently* the next2me is too open, so we took the moses basket upstairs the next night and put it inside the next2me (leaving the stand downstairs) and he had slept from 9pm until 4am that second night. i mean, he doesn’t sleep that well anymore as he wakes more frequently for feeds, but he definitely slept better in moses for time being xx
My baby also only sleeps in the Moses basket which is inside the next to me crib. If the water bottle works, make your life easier by purchasing a electric heat pad so that you don’t have to keep getting up to the kettle x
But don’t leave the heat pad in the crib just use it to warm the bed and then take it out. They have an automatic timer on them.
My baby is the same, can't put her down at all and just wants to sleep on me. I've managed the last 2 nights to cuddle the bedding we use in the next-to-me so it smells of me and she went down for a whole 3 hours!!! Might be worth a try x
Could it be that he doesnt like being swaddled? My daughter hated the swaddle. Also how big is the snuz? (Never had one) if big it could be too big. Have you tried a moses basket. Both my kids find the next to me to big but a moses basket perfect and sleep pretty good there. Failing that have you tried warming the sheets with a water bottle before putting them in (about 30 minutes before bed) or have you tried putting one of your unwashed tshirts as a sheet in there so they have your smell. Also some babies hate white noise. Both of mine love the radio instead.
