Sex postpartum

When did penetration not hurt postpartum for you? I’ve just had to second baby I’m 3 weeks postpartum and we will be waiting at least 6 weeks but with my first it took almost a year for sex to not hurt, mind you I did have a second degree tear and with this baby I only had a small first degree tear so I’m wondering if maybe it won’t be so bad. But even during pregnancy I couldn’t have sex with my man because penetration hurt so bad. We haven’t had sex in 10 months and it sucks. He’s so patient and kind about it and I do other things for him but I’m just hoping the pain isn’t bad after 6 weeks so we can get back to normal sex lol

I had my first baby 4 months ago and we didn’t start trying to have sex again until 10 weeks. After my iud was in and I wasn’t really bleeding. So we’ve been trying to do the deed once a week for 6 weeks and only once did it not hurt as much. It’s gotten better each time for sure but we’re not a 100 yet and we use lube. I had a second degree tear too. I’m hoping it continues to get better and I might enjoy it again. We had a good sex life before, but having to take ibuprofen after or stop him during it isn’t fun. Maybe with a first degree it will be better.

a month for me, we started at 6 weeks and i had a tear and stitches

I had hypertonic pelvic floor issues after birth and wasn’t able to even think about getting anything in there until around 4 months pp due to extreme pain and tightening

No tears, currently 9 months pp and it still hurts so I’ve been putting it off🥲currently waiting for a gp appointment to see if anything else is going on x
