Nursery drop off

It does it does!!! My nursery said my LG was one of the worst for settles and they worried they had a nightmare on there hands 🤣 she is completely different now. Took a few weeks and always made sure I said “have a good day, see you later”. Nursery is the best thing I ever did for her x

Took 2 weeks for us, going 4 days a week. Might take longer if less days. But as above, she loves it there now, and hard to get her to leave! It is horrible when they cry though, so know how you feel

It does! Heartbreaking at first but give it a couple of weeks and u shud start to see a change xxxxx

Oh my god I know! We already changed nurseries as I really didn’t like the vibe at her first one. She always cried and in pictures looked borderline depressed. We swapped her for a new one and so far she’s settling much better. She had a little grizzle when she saw where we were this morning, and again when I handed her to her key worker. But then they took her outside and she was already distracted by all the kids around her playing and looking about, didn’t even watch me leave. This is only week 2 and she goes 2 days a week. So she’s settled very quickly here. I would say make sure they go 2 days in a row at first as they settle faster than if you have a break between the days.

I wrote something very similar myself a few weeks ago here. I had such anxiety as the nursery called me every day for that first week to pick her up. It’s week 4 this week and although she still gets upset when I hand her over she’s settling better and quicker.

Week 5 only 1 day a week and she cries a little on drop off still but not like at first. Those first few times were hard but she’s the happiest baby coming out now! You can tell she’s had a wonderful day
