@Chloe oh good!! Maybe it’s just the one we’ve been hoping to register with.
@Chloe Mine is the same x
This blows my mind cause my son is in a childminder instead of a nursery cause the woman was lovely and my son loves her and she doesn’t charge anything over and above the funded hours? All I pay for it’s school holidays? Plus I got the full flexibility with hours etc and not being stuck on half day or full day
@Sammii yeah my son is with a childminder at the moment and it’s the same but we do provide food, nappies, wipes etc. I think at least part of the what the nursery charges additional for is food and this one provides nappies, wipes etc. We’re moving and need to change childcare so wanted to explore nurseries as my boy is so social and a really fast learner so was looking for a more structured option (closer to school) but our mortgage is going up too so I think we will probably end up with another childminder. I’m used to the lunchboxes now they used to kill me!
That’s strange the nursery I used for like a month still expected me to supply nappies and wipes they just had little draws for each kid
My nursery are actually really transparent, their fees leaflet and guidance on using funding had all the helpful info and had some examples with different combinations of funded and unfunded days so that you could get the exact figure you’d be paying. They’re by no means perfect, don’t get me wrong! But that’s one aspect I feel they’ve done really well.
