Teething and not drinking

Hey! Just worrying slightly, we think our daughter is teething (she's 18 weeks). Just recently chewing her fingers and ours, very unsettled and is refusing bottles. Possibly drinking 2oz then screaming. When is it concerning about not drinking? The heat in Scotland is unreal the now aswell so im panicking she's gonna dehydrate. X

My daughter sometimes gets like this and i just offer her a bottle every 2 hours it does mean a lot gets wasted but eventually she does end up drinking. I also find when shes super unsettled giving her a bath and then offering it does the job. Have you tried the ashton and parsons teething gel? Thats suitable from 3 months x

Chewing hands can be a developmental stage rather than teething. They're becoming aware of the world and things around them so are exploring. I'd just keep offering bottles but look for signs of dehydration such as sunken fontanelle or dry nappies x

my little girl is 18 weeks, & exactly the same! dribbling loads! bursts of extreme crying every now & again! she just plays with her bottles, bites on the teat etc! she will drink the 180ml, but takes almost an hour! also chewing at her hands, & rosey cheeks! iv given teething gel too.. with no real improvement! x

We had this phase last week after his 16 week jags but only lasted 5 days, GP checked him over too! He went from 5/6oz bottles to 1oz and screaming! But we are coming out of that phase xx
