Sorry to jump on your post Sade but can I ask @Francesca and @Taylor why your section was at 37 weeks? Was it due to medical reasons or is that normal for elective sections? I was always under the impression it would be in the 39th week

@Anna. Mine was because I’d had surgery on my womb when I was younger and they didn’t want me to be at any risk of going into labour x

39+5 it was booked when I was 38+5

I was told it can be up until 40 weeks including the 40th week so max 40+6

Mine was at 37+3 but mine was due to baby measuring small, from what I’ve gathered from friends you can get your date between 30-38 weeks depending how much your hospital are able to book in advance but it won’t be scheduled past 40+6 xx

If you go into spontaneous labour beforehand they’ll fit you in for your c-section usually that day or the next, you won’t be expected to labour vaginally if you don’t want to x

My c-section was booked when I was 19 weeks for the week when I turned 39 weeks.. received my official date last week at 35 weeks. I'll be having baby at 39+4 weeks unless she arrives early

I’m due to have one on Thursday when I will be 37 weeks exactly, it was bought forward from 39 weeks because I had PPROM :)

Booked in at 36 weeks for 39 week delivery. Baby didn’t fancy waiting and had an emergency section 38+3

38+5 as my waters went 😅

Honestly I think you can get a date whenever you want. I asked at 41 and got date a couple days later. They always have space. Some women book dates in advance and end up in spontaneous labour. Also if you're urgent they will prioritise you.

39 weeks (had to deliver that week and that day was also my partners birthday) but the hospital didn’t actually book it until a week before even though we agreed that was my plan from the start!

First baby born at 38+3, second baby born at 37+2. Got my surgery dates around week 28 but both changed last minute due to going into labour and developing ICP/hospital pathology lab strikes
