Potty confusion.

My daughter has been showing good interest in the potty lately, I started introducing it to her when she started walking but haven’t actually started potty training. She’s kinda confused though and I’m not sure how to correct her pattern. Almost every day she tells me after she poops in her dipper, that she needs to go potty. She seems yo understand that poop is supposed to go in the potty but she hasn’t been able to communicate before she goes.. I’m not to concerned about it because I know she’s still young but if she’s ready and willing than I want to do my best to help her move forward.. she has a little sister comes in November so I would love if she was mostly done with dippers by the type the next baby is born (even though I’m prepared for a regression). So I guess November is kinda my goal to have her daytime potty trained.

How does she do with peeing on the potty? Will she do that? Pooping usually comes later, once peeing is successful. Does she have any patterns or predictable times she poops during the day?

Mine also tells me after he poops. So we go in the bathroom and put the poop in the toilet, so he can make the connection. Still no signs before he goes though

I just put mine in training underwear so she can feel when she is wet. The training underwear is nice because it holds most of it in, so there isn’t a puddle. I tell her to go use the potty about every 20 minutes. Even if she just sits for a second and stands up, I take it because she at least tried. I’m hoping eventually she will connect if I am consistent. I learned in my Montessori training the best time to hit potty training is between 18-24 months. Once they hit two, it will become more challenging because they become more stubborn and independent lol.
