It has work with me, to leave him naked at home while we are at home for little periods of times, and he will feel necessity and go, firstly he will make accidents, but after a while he started being more than ready. Also using shorts without diaper while at home helps too… now he doesn’t want his diaper anymore!! 😁
@Olivia Dawn for real!
We are in the process of training our girl (same age, b November 2022) and it’s going 😅 it’s been about a month now. Her poops are fully in the potty. Pees are iffy. Pull ups make it WORSE. We did panties for three days cold turkey and it helped so much. We basically just stayed inside the house for like three days lol. We might’ve gone out once or twice with a pull up on. Then I started using more pull-ups and she regressed, so I’m starting over!
@Olivia Dawn good to know! Will have to just hunker down for a few days I guess
I would definitely invest in a car seat waterproof pad and some puppy pads while you’re training!!
And we used little chocolate chips for motivation lol. Every time she sat on potty she’d get one or more
Try it, see what happens. We wear undies when at the house and pullups when we are out.
Read a lot of potty books for two weeks and work up to it. Let her get hyped up about it being a new step for her as being a big girl. Take her to the store and have her pick out her undies, pull ups, small toilet, ladder or anything that will be new. She will have initial success and then backslide. Keep your enthusiasm up and do your best not to get impatient. The longer you can keep your energy up and make it positive, the more it will become a (pleasant) routine, and the shorter your process will ultimately be. Give yourself a reward. It's a process for all of us... Good luck! 🍀
Keep following her own progress!! I’m waiting for my daughter to start showing me more signs, she used her potty once and hasn’t since lmao
Sounds like she’s totally ready! The hardest part is just doing it lol.
