Weaning is so frustrating 😞

My baby is 6 1/2 months and started weaning 3 weeks ago. He’s having purées atm and he has some foods he absolutely loves but most he refuses. I try to mix his favs with new foods (very small amounts) but he still refuses it even though it’s his fav food. It’s so frustrating most of the time he has 1 spoon and then ...

Paying money into Gov childcare account

Hey girls, My bank requires me to put a name or business name when transferring money. My government child care account has an account number, sort code and reference number but no name. I've tried my child's name but the bank says it 'doesn't match'. Have any of you had success with this? Thank you!

Schools - 1st choice not the closest. Any chance of getting in?! 😫

So my 1st choice school is the furthest away in my area, there's 2 others which tbh are both good so I wouldn't really mind wher she went. But I have my heart set on the 1st choice and would be gutted if she didn't get in!! As it's the furthest, does anyone know if there's actually any chance of getting in?! Just ...

Baby first walker shoes

Does anyone have recommendations of where to physically go to try on some shoes for my one year old, who has just learnt to walk. Bonus if they do barefoot style shoes too.

Help, stressed and worried.

My little girl past little while would be saying things like can't do it, can't like it (don't like things) and slightly fussy. She was pretty ill last week and since she has got better she's very very emotional, she's not the same little fun happy playful girl. She's 95% the time saying stop it, don't like it, won'...

Food refusal

Anyone else having a good refusal phase with their little ones. My little one is 10 months old and was eating and finishing all the food and suddenly one afternoon she stopped and now is a struggle every meal to feed her. Feeling so upset she’ll loose weight

Feel like a shit mum…

I praise these mums that manage to take their babies/kids out almost everyday to do something because I just can’t seem to do it, I normally lack the motivation as I’m exhausted and there’s always something to do round the house (washing, cleaning, cooking etc.) and by the time we get out the house it’s a faff I nor...

Feeding

Hi all, my little one is 7months now, we started weaning just before 6 months. He was doing so well with using the spoon himself, putting in his mouth and eating the foods. Now all he wants to do is bang the spoon on the high chair and barely touches anything. He won’t allow me to feed him with the spoon as he...

I need a rant (it's a long one)

Before I fell pregnant with my little boy me and his dad had talked at length about having a baby. Within 3 months of trying, I conceived. He has a daughter from a previous relationship and he told me that he did absolutely everything for her. So there was me thinking we'd be equal in what we do for out little on...

Rubbish mum

I feel like I'm just doing a terrible job at being a mum. My LO is 3 months old and this morning I looked into his crib and there was a puddle of sick with it over him and in his ear. I feel awful that I didn't see or hear him. I've still not managed to get us into a routine, still feel like I'm guessing at what he ...

Does this make me a bad mum

Hey, So I’m 8 months pregnant and I have a 20 month old son. I haven’t had the energy to do much during the day (while my other half is at work) to take my son out. I’m currently on iron tablets for my low iron levels. I’ve been out but I’ve had my mum, MIL or boyfriend with me to help me out. He seems to be ...

This is your sign to not put up with your god awful husband/partner (no judgement)

I’ve seen far too many posts about crappy partners and I know you love them but remember you DO NOT need to put up with this, you should not have to ASK them to look after their own child. If they’re not pulling their weight - stop doing things for them. Remember a partner that love and cares for you will do anythin...

Food

What do your babies eat? I do a mix of the baby foods (chunky texture) & normal foods, anxious about him choking or he just throws it on the floor or shoves it all in his mouth 🤣 so I do some spoon feeding so I know he's having some food throughout the day. Anyway, what do your little ones eat in a typical day? And…

How to make husband value me?

Been married for 4 years and nearly after everything argument the topic divorce comes up and I had enough. He gives me signals towards that as in if I carry on with my ‘never ending, unrealistic expectations’ of him, it may be better we split our ways?! Like when it’s him wanting something from me I try do it but wh...

Getting fussy with food

My son has started rejecting his porridge in the mornings. He used to love it. He now cries when I give it to him. I’ve tried putting small amounts on his tray for him to get messy with (and then eat) as well but he hates it. How long do you try before you offer something else? I obviously want to put zero pressure ...
