How much is too much?!

My little boy is 2 weeks and 3 days and can drink 4/5 oz bottles of formula every 3/4 hours. Is this too much?!? I was giving 4 oz until I noticed he kept sucking to get more. So I’ve done 5 oz which he can happily take. I’ve noticed that he guzzles the milk too, idk if he’s getting too much milk at once or not enough?! We are using Mam bottles with size 1 teats x

My little boy is exactly the same! He's 3 weeks today and we've just moved him up to 6oz as he was finishing off 5oz consistently. Health visitor told us to move him up when he gets to that point and he can't be overfed, he'll just take what he needs. He does the same with guzzling the milk down and we're using the same teats. He acts like he's never been fed! X

My baby’s is 3 weeks and 3 days and she drinks 4/5oz sometimes guzzles it sometimes doesn’t finish the bottle but will want more half hour later she’ll finish 5oz before bedtime and through the night with the same size teats and she never lost any birth weight just put it on 😅 keep doing as you are mamma if he finishes 5oz consistently put him up an oz ☺️xx

Same with my little boy, he loves his milk and has been on 4oz pretty much since he was born. He had 2oz for the first 5 days but he just kept wanting more and more and now he’s a month old and has been on 4-5oz since. He guzzles too so I try to keep him sat up right so the milk gets to his tummy quicker and also burp him every ounce or 2 and try and trick him and do it a little longer so he has time for the milk to settle too. Sometimes he realises the trick and screams for more instantly😂my boy is not happy unless he’s milk drunk falling asleep on the bottle😭😂. We use mam size 1, we did drop him to size 0 but noticed a few times he was sick from sucking in too much air because the flow wasn’t enough and it didn’t make a difference he was still guzzling xx

Have you looked up paced feeding? This could be a useful feeding technique for you, especially as he guzzles
