Changing career to coding/data analyst/Web developer

Hello all!!! I am currently 21 weeks pregnant living in London and working as an Assistant General Manager in the hospitality industry. I will be going on maternity from August and I am thinking of changing career, since I don't think that I would be able to manage my current job with having a baby. I would like a more flexible job that I can eventually do remotely too. I have done some webminars about coding and it's something I really like. Has anyone done any courses online that has open doors to job after completing them? I have seen many on Internet but I would like some personal insights

I'm doing my last 4th year of computer science (software engineering) and started when my little one was one year old. Even with my diploma it will be a huge challenge to find a job (edit to say; first job, the more experience you have the easier it gets), it always is for this career. Is it possible to find job in coding with just a course? Yes of course, but again it's going to be very hard to learn everything you need (not just coding). The best chance you will have is if you really love it, down to struggle of debugging, constant learning etc. and most importantly have TONS of work and projects to show of what you are capable doing. Also for the (not just coding) part look into agile, project management etc, see what subject students typically have in universities and cover each one to show that you are ready for the workforce, not just knowing about coding. It's definitely possible, but a torture if that's not your passion. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions x

I do coding/data analysis/science. Best advice I can give is do projects to build a portfolio. Experience is best to show you have the coding capabilities so talking about a couple projects you did will help. Projects on websites like kaggle, datalab, datacamp, codecademy, github etc Your managerial experience will be transferable enough for everything else project related xx
