Should I be concern?

Lately my son has been making these loud noises, while bottle feeding. Not sure if I should be concerned and talk to his pediatrician or is this normal?

Mine too! Like gasping!!!!! My girl does it I’m asking the doctor. She also really struggles to hold her head up. I feel like underdeveloped muscles in throat or neck.

Hmmm, I would consult the doctor to know more about it. My baby girl (almost 2 months) makes a noise recently for the past week or so when nursing but it’s nothing like how that sounds. Idk how to explain how hers sound, kind of like if you are trying to drink the last little bit of your drink so you kind of are “slurping” that’s what she is doing. Maybe that’s what could be what your baby is doing and that’s just the noise he makes when doing so. But I would ask the doctor, I completely understand where your concern comes from. I’m positive it isn’t anything serious but better to take extra precaution.

@Melina my son will be 2months on the 23rd of this month. & He recently just started making this sound for almost a week. I do notice he makes a similar sound like this while sleeping too (happens every now and then) & I would literally jump up & check on him. It scares me. But I will definitely get in contact with his doctor tomorrow. To see what they say.

Yes I would have the same reaction if my baby girl started making those noises in her sleep. She doesn’t really make noises though, just occasional grunts but mostly quiet. I hope everything is okay.

My baby girl does this before a feed and during the night, my paediatrician said it’s normal it’s just their airways are narrow right now. But lmk what yours says too please

I think it’s just them eating too quickly where they can’t catch their breath. My baby does that too if he’s eating too fast.

Our son does that every now and then when he’s drinking. Almost as if he forgets to breathe or it “goes down the wrong side”. Usually I take the bottle away and do an extra burp and he’s good.

Hey what did the paediatrician say?
