@CeeCee we go to a few of these things but there’s nothing on the weekends. And most of them are stopping soon for summer hols. To be honest though nobody speaks to me at them anyway. Everyone already knows each other, they seem to have known each other for a long time, I think maybe they all grew up here and went to school together etc.
Where are you from? X
Its a right pain isnt it, have been saying the same- hardly anything on over summer for first time mums!! xx
@Rachel Worcestershire
Oh you're far from me, else I'd have met with you 😊
NCT do free sessions and they have some planned locally to me in the midlands so there may be some available for you, too. They’re current and over the summer. I think it’ll be searchable on their website. It can be really tough. Have you tried chatting to local mums on this app? There’s probably some feeling similar to you x
I keep saying how annoying it is that everything seems to stop for the holidays. I’ve found a few things at my local children’s centre that I’ll try over the summer and am going to see about the library too. I went to quite a few classes at the start of maternity leave but funds and naps are getting in the way now so I understand the loneliness.
I could have wrote this myself!! My little one is 7 months now and I’m started to feel so lonely and bored. Tired of the same old park and walks! I recently joined the library for her and that killed a couple of hours and took out some books! I attend swimming on a Saturday with her I’m sure in local area they do free swim be active sessions? X
Its such a pain isnt it- the one time in your life you have time to do things but you have no money!! Some local church halls may still be doing mums and tots usually £1 each for tea and toast, local libraries usually do free rhythm and rhyme classes, and locally we have some parents pram walking groups so you can grab a takeaway coffee walk together- worth seeing if there is a local facebook group or similar- your HV or local surestart could let you know what is free in your area? Xx
