7 months with my & 1 month with my second. My BMI is slightly higher then yours.
We have just had our wee boy 5 weeks ago. It took us 3 months and my bmi at time of conception was about 50. I was 35 at the time also. I had expected it to take much longer (or just not happen!) with both factors so I feel incredibly lucky to have my wee boy now.
I got off birth control in January 2023 and was pregnant by April 2023 found out in May. Mine was completely unintentional and was very much a surprise. I don’t really believe in the whole bmi making a difference thing I more so think it’s genetics because ALL of the women in my family are fertile myrtles and are also relatively chubby as well. Sending lots of hugs and baby dust regardless xx
Mine was 38 when I conceived both children. First was 2 months? It was the second cycle we were trying so however you calculate that. 2nd baby was a surprise while I was on birth control when first was a year old.
Your age and family history also plays a huge role in fertility. My husband and I both come from incredibly fertile families. My dad had a surprise baby then a planned one, my mom got pregnant with me on the first try. Literally only had sex once on expected ovulation date for the month and I was conceived. Husbands grandmas both had children very young in their teens, then both his parents too had surprise pregnancies in high school (separate) and then both had 2nd children easily then got together and my husband was a broken condom baby. Only 2 of his 8 nieces and nephews were planned. One of those was first cycle, the other I don't actually know. 3 nephews to his brother were birth control babies and 2 from his oldest brother are unclear but I believe surprises. And his only niece was a surprise. We were super careful our entire relationship because we knew how fertile we likely were.
I wouldn't worry too much about BMI with conceiving! they say it makes it more difficult but that's because above a certain BMI your ovulation etc can go off a little, sometimes you won't ovulate and sometimes it's late etc etc but honestly I wouldn't stress yourself too much! my BMI was 53 at the time I got pregnant, I came off birth control late december and had my first positive test by mid April!
1ywar for things to normalize after a very stressful period, and getting of birth control, and then 1year after that, Idk what mine is, I was 270-280 when I got pregnant. As long as you are getting regular cycles don't worry about it until a full year ( from one annual gyn appointment to the next, make sure you let them know so they can have record)
