I’ve had Flo about 5 years now. I’ve learnt to take its information with a pinch of salt. Personally I think it can be unhelpful to read “if you’ve conceived, your baby is xyz and you’ll be due xyz”. The ttc journey is hard enough in getting our hopes up and giving us details that are only beneficial IF you’re actually pregnant. I’ve just stopped clicking through those buttons tbh and use it for checking my windows. I found it a fantastic and informative app whilst pregnant, but ttc can be hard going (when we’re already so hard on ourselves). For me it’s peanut I have to have breaks from 😂. I desperately thought knowing more information increases the likelihood of conceiving, which is just nonsense. Just do whatever you need to switch off and take care 😊 When I was at my lowest I took a month off tracking (not trying) and my whole perspective changed.
@Amy this was so helpful, I can’t help clicking those little buttons though , I have no self control 😂 this month I’ve not tracked apart from the past 3 days as I got a positive OPK yesterday and my brain is going crazy just thinking about it , and I know what you mean , I honestly think I could be a doctor by now 😂 don’t get me wrong my husband wants another baby more than what I do but he doesn’t do all of this or worry about it all 😂 I’m glad I downloaded peanut , if found some really supportive women on here , I’m glad I can relate to some people on this page xxx
@Vicky haha oh I know, it’s as if that when we click it, we’re one step closer to it happening 🙄😂. I’ve been trying for number 2 since nov 23 too so I really understand how frustrating it is month after month! Ahh my partners just the same, they don’t have to be quite as crazy as we do 😂. Oh I’m so glad you’re finding peanut helpful and meeting nice people! For me it just triggers my symptom spotting reading all the posts so I have to take myself away often 😂. But it’s all about balance. I’ve been trying to take myself away from the apps and tests and see what happens naturally, and my mental health hasn’t been better since we started ttc. Hoping your BFP comes soon!! 😊
@Amy I know it’s crazy how our brains trick us into thinking we have symptoms when we don’t 😂 and I hope you get your BFP too , hopefully this year for us xxx
I love Flo. Was great with my first and now using for my second journey to conceive. Ovulation tests never picked up for me but after a private fertility MOT I found out Flo was correct with my cycle dates and ovulation window. To avoid disappointment I absolutely won’t test until my period is at least 8 days late. 7 days late is considered normal especially if you have irregular periods so I go past this to be in the safe side. It just helps to only be disappointed once if you get a negative test and helps me obsess less. Good luck hun Xx
