Whenever you feel is ready. If that is now, months from now, years. Do what you feel is best for yourself and baby
@Courtney the only thing is I’m exclusively breastfeeding and I want to until he is 2 but if I get pregnant will it affect my milk?
@Daniella it’s so hard to fight the urge because I just don’t know yet 😅
yea same im so indecisive idk. and my hubby is good either way, now or later or in 5 years he’s like whenever i want. and im like ughhhh lol
My first was 11 months when I found I was pregnant with my second. The pregnancy was rough . Morning sickness while having to power through for my first any issues requiring me to go to triage I had to wait for my partner to get out of work wether that was leaving early or just when he finished as I couldn't bring my boy with me. Consultant appointments had to make sure we had child care cause clinics could take forever. Carrying my boy upstairs and settling to bed was alot on my body when i got bigger. The age gap now has started easier with my girl being abit more independent they can play together . Now I'm not saying not to have a close gap cause it will be hard no matter what but also worth it no matter what but I would say look back and see if there was anything you struggled with in your first pregnancy and wether you could do it with a toddler . I can't really say much about age gaps once baby is here as I'm only 5 months in to this and it's going well so far but who knows what could happen hahaha
@Daniella same here 😂
@Rachel thank you for explaining this to me x
I'm unsure if it would affect your supply. Maybe consult with your GP
Ultimately it’s up to you!! My sister and I are Irish twins and while we fought like a couple of menaces growing up once we were still super close and it was like having a true built in bestie. I love it so much I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant with a 6 month old. Got pregnant two months sooner than we were planning but happy about it regardless! My mom was happy but also immediately told me not to lose myself because it was going to be hard but that it would be so worth it. So far pregnancy with a little one has been trying, but we as women are strong! My doctor was also very understanding about it and made sure I had zofran for my morning sickness. The fatigue is rough, but I’ve chosen to just nap with my little girl during the day and it helps her nap longer so it’s a win win!
i want a girl so bad and my baby is only 2 months. to the point i got disappointed because my period came
As for your supply, it’s different for everyone but it’s extremely common for your supply to dip. They usually say it happens in the 4th-5th months but for me it happened around 10 weeks. I had a decent enough supply in the morning time that I probably could’ve kept nursing her in the mornings but it was stressing me out not knowing if she was for sure getting enough in the mornings so ultimately I switched to formula, which honestly was devastating for me. I’m still happy I made it 6 months with her though! My doctor said older babies will often stop nursing and then start again after the new baby comes. So maybe waiting until 8-10 months would work for you! Especially because at that point they’ll be leaning more towards solids than milk and it’d be easier to continue breastfeeding even with a dip in supply.
I have a 1 year old and my twins just hit 6 months old. I would 10/10 NOT RECOMMEND.
Completely your choice. I just couldn't cope with that, but if you feel ready, then maybe just have a double think about it before you actually start trying.. My daughter is 18 months old now and she can be quite difficult to manage sometimes so, I'm only just trying now and I'm hoping by the time I've had the baby things may of somewhat calmed slightly and she understands a little more than her mummy is there for her sibling too. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I just know I really couldn't have coped if she was 12+ months with a new baby. I feel like 2.5 will be better.
We wanted a small age gap. I got pregnant when my little boy was 5.5 months so they are just under 14 months apart. Honestly I love it. Pregnancy was very tough but now she’s here she just fits right in. If you feel ready and are sure you want another go for it x
