I feel so awkward because they literally want to book it now & I feel bad they keep looking for somewhere for us all 😅
I would personally tell them, or tell the one organising it! they might not want to go away if they know your baby is going to be due!
It’s up to you and how you feel, I told my family and closest friends when I found out at 3 weeks and then social media at 9 weeks. It’s only said to wait so you don’t have to deal with people asking questions if something was to happen (as the first 12 weeks are the most risky) but that didn’t put me off, if something awful was to happen I didn’t want to not talk about it and was far too excited and happy to keep the news between me and my partner. It’s personal preference but it’s the best decision I made and I’d do it again with the next x
With my first I told my parents and in laws at 5 weeks and friends at around 6 but we lost the baby at 8 weeks, it helped to have support rather than suffer in private. This time me and my partner found out at 4 weeks and got a scan at 6+4 then told my parents and are telling his tonight when they come back off holiday cx
@Lottie this is reassuring as so many people seem to wait even longer than 12 weeks and I wonder I’m telling people too soon 😅 but I’m an oversharer & a rubbish liar 😂
@Jessica sorry about your loss but that’s so exciting! How are you telling them - are you doing anything special?
We're making them a nice dinner and then showing them our little blob scan 💓
@Jessica ahh I guess it’s harder when I don’t have a scan to show 😂
I found put last week, due to my job I have to tell my manager about my pregnancy so wanted to tell parents before! I got a little box, a baby grow, some booties and a test and did it that way😊
I waited 12 weeks with my first but I’m going to tell my mum earlier this time. Probably over the phone. I made the trip home last time as it’s a big deal for the first. I just gave her the envelope with the photo in. :)
I’m the same thoughts. Only 4 weeks but we had already booked a massive family holiday to Florida which is 10 weeks after estimated due date.
