Walking pregnancy

I know walking can help with labor, and it’s something you can generally start anytime, but during my first trimester, I had a bleed during the scan and was told to take it easy. Anytime I walked more than usual, I’d start bleeding, and they advised me to avoid any risk, especially since I’ve had a previous miscarriage. Now I’m in my second trimester, and the bleed has cleared up, but I’m still being cautious. I’ve increased my walking slightly but haven’t pushed myself too much. I’d love to start walking more, as I’ve heard it’s great for preparing the body for labor. When would be the best time to really start if not now? Like when does it really start counting lol

Considering your history with this current pregnancy id check in with the doctor just to be safe.

Maybe build it up slowly like 5 mins longer every few days and listen to your body!

This is by no means medical advice, but I use a wii fitness board, I just do like 15 minutes of steps every day. They recommend kurb walking to help labour along but not til the last couple of weeks of pregnancy

Hey I had this with my pregnancy (10months pp). I bled quite abit from 6 weeks and had to go for weekly scans due to a previous miscarriage. I found the more I walked the worse it got so going to work walking round all day terrified me. My bleeding stopped about 10/11 weeks. I found I just built it up slowly. But ye walking is good for labour and I found as we did alot of walking before (own a springer spaniel) I was able to get back to normal walking which helped keep me fit through out. Even at 41 weeks I was still going out walking haha the day I went into labour (41weeks) I did 2 small walks and did the gardening as i just had this urge to keep moving 😂 she was born the next morning! Built it up slowly but remember to rest if you need it on the walks.xx
