Formula by weight

Hey - looking for advice about formula quantity by weight. Weighed my little girl (4 1/2 months) yesterday and she's now 7.98kg. I was told by the doctor / HV that she should get 150ml per kg of weight which takes her to just under 1200ml per day - 42oz. I'd been giving her 37oz a day and now I'm wondering how I'll fit any more in! The bottles don't fit more than I'm putting in already. Is anyone else having a similar issue? Is there a limit to how much formula you can give them? She was sleeping through and has now stopped so I'm wondering if she's stirring because she's hungry. Any tips appreciated, or even if you have a similar sized baby and are formula feeding could touch say how much and how often you're feeding?

My LB gets just under 1200mL/day and is 5 months at 97th percentile. I think you can take their suggestions with a grain of salt unless your baby is measuring underweight. I just feed whenever he seems hungry and it ends up at 1050-1150mL by day's end. Try adding an extra bottle or give 1.5bottles before bed/nap if you think it might keep her settled.

My son’s 5 months Sunday and last time checked 2 weeks ago weighed 18lb 1. He has 5 7oz bottles a day so 42oz a day. He’s should be on more for his weight but I just go by him and up it when I know he’s ready. He would be sick if I gave him anymore rn.

My boy 5 month on Monday. Just got weighed and is 8.4kg Was not advised how much food to give. He is between 75th and 91st percentile. I would agree the comment above, take it with a pinch of salt what they say. My boy drinks between 1000ml and 1200ml per day. I don’t think to force food down is a good idea. My boy eats less in some days as he has one tooth cut and next one is starting to come, so he less hungry when this happens. When he will be showing signs for more then I will up it.

My LO is 5 months but was around the same weight at the same age and is has been on 7oz 5x a day for a while. I tried giving her 8oz on the last bottle but then she’d not drink as much the next day. I definitely don’t think you’re under feeding. If you go off the box you’ll find most say 7oz is the highest amount to give them as well. Even though that is just a guide x
