Has anybody stopped sterilising their babies bottles. If so at what age?

Hey, I haven’t. I believe it’s once they’re past their first birthday you no longer have to sterilise them

It’s not an age related recommendation, it’s just whenever you stop using formula- which for most does happen to be a year old, after switching to cows milk.

Thank you both for responding. I did think this already but have been seeing alot on social media ( i know i shouldn’t pay attention to this 🤣) that some people had stopped around 6 months! Which i just couldn’t agree with.

I’ve started using the Milton soap instead of a steriliser as the Milton tablet were giving my little girl a really bad rash around her mouth x

I don’t sterilise his water bottles as no formula is in them but will stop at 12 month for his milk ones xx

I only sterilise his milk bottles which I'll carry on until 12 months but it does seem a bit pointless when he licks the floor every chance he gets 🤣x

Haven't stopped and we use breastmilk so I feel it's more important since you can't heat it as much as formula

@Lauren ahhh perfect i think ill stop doing his water bottles!

@Lauren well this was exactly my thought 😭
