Cold water steriliser / Rinsing bottles

Hi, wondering if ppl that use a cold water sterilisers give the bottles / teats a rinse before use? They have a proper Milton taste so I’ve been giving them a quick rinse under cold water before use. Don’t think there’s anything wrong with that but google giving contradicting answers!

I never did, I don’t think it’s recommended and it can make it “un sterile”? I could be wrong x

You’re not supposed to, as they would no longer be sterile. We’ve been using the Fred and Flo Tesco sterilise tablets and there’s no taste whatsoever x

No rinsing, tap water is definitely not sterile! You can set them aside to air dry, they will then have less of a taste but as long as you are using the right ratio then it's perfectly safe to give baby.

The water from the steriliser is sterile but tap water isn’t. Just shake off the excess water from the steriliser x

Supposedly babies won’t really care about the taste, so we leave our bits in the steriliser until using as it’s a constant cycle

Don't rinse. It's completely safe for baby. You rinsing them means there no longer sterile

Nope I don’t. I just build the bottles up and give them as they are.

Thanks all!
