My baby was almost 42 weeks. It will be okay, Mama ❤️🙏💕
@Katie thank you😍🥹❤️
My baby was born at 41 + 3 so no need to worry about any poo or anything. The less you worry, the more oxitocin you'll be producing, which will make the whole process easier and so much nicer ☺️ Believe in the wisdom and strength of your body! 🫶
@Dela my baby passed meconium in utero - lost my waters as I was pushing and they were green tinged. My babe came out perfectly healthy and didn’t need any intervention, stays, NICU or any type of special care. I know this isn’t always the case but I hope it eases your mind a little bit x
I gave birth 3 days after my due date and everything was perfect! It is never too late for a c section.
My baby was born 40+3 and no poop inside. She did poop the second she came out though. A lottt of people go over the due date because it’s really just an estimate no need to worry
I never went to my due date, your midwife might give you a sweep tomorrow if they can to start things. I got one before my induction and helped me dilate a small amount. Just a different option if they say no to c section
First babies usually come after the due date, don’t think you have anything to worry about 🤗 try to relax and baby will come when they are ready ❤️
Thank you so much for all your comments xx❤️
My baby didn’t come till 40+6 and was all fine, I really wouldn’t worry about this, lots of babies come late.
My baby was 42 weeks 2 days and didn't do a poo.... plus I delivered her vbac. It's very nerve wracking when you get to 40 weeks I know..... 😒 but keep positive and try to see if nature takes its course. First time pregnancy usually go over 40 week anyway. Xx
All will be well my dear 🫶
Meconium is just them previously eating the lanugo hair, which grew on them. If they eat the meconium then, it's still the same product in a way, there's no bacterial risk. What is the risk with it is that when baby is born their mouth might still have some of it in it and when they take their first breath, it can travel down to their lungs. So until baby is born, nothing can be done, but it happens all the time and clearing airway passages are one of the most standard things that might be needed after birth. I learnt this last weekend at an excellent antenatal course led by a trained professional. So try not to worry, baby has no sense of a calendar and will not know it's their due date. They will come when they come.
I hate to think about this topic it’s just pregnancy intrusive thoughts, I was born at 42 weeks and I suffered from MAS. It’s important to remember that while 12%-20% of overdue women have MSAF (meconium stained amniotic fluid) only 0.2% of those babies develop meconium aspiration syndrome so its extremely rare out of that tiny 0.2% the survival rate is about 45% so that’s still nearly half of all babies that suffer with this already extremely rare syndrome will be fine in the long run! I thank my lucky stars every day that I was resuscitated and still have my life but it’s just better you have the stats and facts and know it’s extremely rare! I hope your mind is put at ease

Have you thought about induction? I’m thinking of requesting induction after 40 weeks just to be safe
@Trudy-lea they said as long as you don’t have any medical issue we are not offering you an induction 😒
