Cold water steriliser

Seen a few reviews on the milton cold water steriliser and how the bottles and dummies smell bleachy when they’ve come out of the steriliser, anyone know if this is ok to use still or do they need a rise because on the official video it says no need to rinse ?

They smell disinfected 😂 my first never liked it without a rinse because the smell was strong but that’s only if you are taking it straight from the steriliser to be used right away! Usually after taking it out and leaving them for an hour/two they don’t smell as strong

They smell of bleach because Milton IS bleach, it's weak and at a safe level when made up correctly using the correct measurements. If you rinse them then that defeats the point of sterilising, as the water you're rinsing with is not Sterile..bleach breaks down into salt and water so it is safe to be on things that go in babies mouths

So Milton you don’t need to rinse but some own brand sterilising tablets ask you to rinse with boiling water which seems like a massive faff (Tesco’s are like this). We stuck to Milton with my first… to be honest I still use it adhoc to give a deeper clean to some of his cups
