I always wash mine especially if you feed through the night then the bottles will be sat there for a couple of hours and rinsing them won’t get rid of the milk residue x
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but would you husband just rinse his dishes with food on without soap and put them away ready to use again? They need to be properly cleaned before sterilising xx
Your process is exactly right, I also wash the bottles with the brush after the soapy water. If you skip that step, your bottles will have milk film even after sterilizing - I made that mistake in the first weeks. Not sure how old is your LO, but if you have long time to go with bottles, try getting ( or make your husband get it 😉) the washer and sterilizer 2in 1, I think baby brezza makes them. I wish I got it, this bottle washing wil take all your time 🙄
I wash with hot water, with a bottle brush & bottle wash and then sterilise
I wash with a bottle brush, rinse off the fluff then put into steriliser, then run through with boiling water (we use cold water sterilising)
