Yes I work from home with my one year old and my other 3 kids when they're not at school. I work in the energy sector and I don't have to worry about my little boy as I just work around him. If youd like more information they're always recruiting just drop me a message x
I’ve done wfh for 3 days a week for nearly 2 years and it’s been fine. Very dependent on your work, management and your child’s temperament but I’ve never missed a deadline, always had great feedback and she’s never stopped me working. I have a very supportive employer though that is family friendly and most wfh during Covid with their kids so they know the struggles. Get a routine down, book out lunches so no meetings then, do your power hour stuff during their nap windows. I always make sure we eat together, we do something fun in the afternoon, she has a bit of Sesame Street screen time and she plays alone in her room with her yoto, books and toys. She’s low maintenance though and has never been a clingy kid. I’ll get the usual “mummy, hungry please” and have to take my laptop to the kitchen on mute to continue my meeting whilst I do snack though xx
Yes, I have been working from home with my eldest who is 3 from when she was 6 months, you just need to know your routine and get most of the work done during nap times. I also would have her high chair next to my desk and give her meals there so I can get my work done while she eats. However this depends on your child and their personality. My son is 11 months and I’m back to work and he is a lot more difficult because he is more active so I have to be a lot more careful. Also it depends on how intense your job is, for meetings etc you will need to have something on hand to keep them busy. If you can I’d suggest maybe send LO to nursery for half sessions even just a day or two to give you a break as it can get overwhelming. I found it was easier when my daughter was younger, as she got older she wanted more of my attention while I was working. Good luck!
